About the course

An online and interactive safeguarding training course with voiceover, designed for anyone acting as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (or deputy) within a sports organisation.

The course considers contextual safeguarding in a sports environment and will enable you to recognise the signs and symptoms of various types of child abuse.

The course covers:

  • The latest safeguarding concerns.
  • How to recognise risk factors.
  • The role of the designated safeguarding lead.
  • How to make an effective referral of concern to the right people.
  • How to write and update your safeguarding policy.
